This is a Roman theme. In a Roman decoy, the decoyed piece can still defend against the initial try but such defense develops a weakening of the Black position.

A very economic decoy maneuver. The threatening White Rook decoys the Black Bishop
And White Knight can mate in b6. We have also here a Mirror Mate setting, with all the squares surrounding the Black King are unoccupied.
